For those sticking around Davis this summer, here’s your guide to what’s open and closed.
Several locations across campus will offer weekday food and coffee services, with adjusted seasonal hours. Make sure to check each specific location’s website for the most updated hours and menus.
Food and coffee
The Segundo and Cuarto Dining Commons are closed for the summer. The Tercero Dining Commons and Latitude Restaurant are open with adjusted summer hours; instead of staying open all day, the eateries close between breakfast, lunch and dinner service. All Peet’s Coffee locations will be open except the kiosk outside California Hall. The Silo Market, YoloBerry, Scrubs Cafe and more will also be open. Check the Dining Services webpage for detailed summer hours.
The Coffee House will be closed on Friday, July 2, and has adjusted hours for the summer — including being closed Saturdays and Sundays. With the exception of Chickpea and Cooks, all platforms will be open, including seasonal drinks and new smoothie flavors at Swirlz. Learn more on the CoHo website.
Also note the recent permanent closure of CoHo South Café in the Student Community Center.
Library
The main building of Shields Library will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. The library will also be closed on Saturdays through September 19. Daily hours are available on the library’s website.
Manetti Shrem Museum
The Manetti Shrem Museum will be closed on Friday, July 3. Find updated museum hours on the museum’s website.
Memorial Union
The Memorial Union will be closed Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5, and will host several social events throughout the summer. The Pantry and AggieCompass will also be open. Find event information and updated hours on the MU website.
Transportation Services, Unitrans
Effective July 1, parking rates on the Davis campus will increase. Also beginning July 1, daily and monthly permits purchased for Lot 30 will need to be for either an A or C space, based on the posted space designation.
Unitrans is currently operating a modified schedule, with most lines at a reduced frequency. Find a breakdown of lines and service frequencies on its website.
